Robert Tserkovich

TSERKOVICH, Robert – Peacefully at Forest Hill LTC on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the age of 90 years.

Beloved husband of Ana Slousher. Loving father of Julia. Cherished grandfather of Iris and Maya. And great-grandfather of Eleanor.  Predeceased by his parents Lev and Vera Tserkovich and by his brother Anatoly.

Robert was a proud weight lifting champion of Belarus, a man whose strength carried him through countless competitions at home and abroad. Those achievements were more than medals — they were moments that lit his life with purpose and joy, memories he held onto with quiet pride.

Robert had a remarkable talent for fixing almost anything. From complex hydraulic machines to the coffee makers and ovens found in busy restaurant kitchens, he understood how things worked in a way that felt almost instinctive. He didn’t just repair machines — he often improved their designs, leaving them better, stronger, and more reliable than before.

Robert found his greatest peace in the outdoors. He loved camping, and he had a special gift for finding mushrooms and berries, wandering through the forest with a quiet joy that seemed to steady him.

Above all, Robert was a devoted father. He encouraged his daughter with patience and pride, teaching her to work hard, to study with purpose, and to believe in her own abilities. Those lessons became some of the most enduring gifts he ever gave.

The family would like to thank staff of Forest Hill nursing home for their care and compassion.

A Graveside Service will be held in Cole Funeral Services and Highland Park Cemetery, 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp, Tuesday, April 7 at 2 pm.
