Obituary of Rosanna Chantal
In Loving Memory of Rosanna Chantal
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosanna Chantal, who left us on the morning of March 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Rosanna was born on August 26, 1954, in Sannicola, Italy, and immigrated to Canada as a newborn. She grew up with a deep love for her Italian heritage, which she carried with pride throughout her life.
She was a woman of strength, resilience, and charm. A fighter through and through, she faced many health challenges with unwavering determination and an unbreakable spirit. Though her health often held her back, she embraced life through the adventures of those she loved.
She shared 44 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Alain, and was a proud and loving mother to her son, Stephan. When she welcomed her daughter-in-law, Eugenia, into the family, she did so with warmth and kindness. One of the greatest joys of her life was becoming Nonna to her cherished grandson, Chance, whom she adored with all her heart.
Rosanna was devoted to her family, cherishing not only her immediate loved ones but also her many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was the eldest of five and shared a close bond with her siblings, Theresa (Eric, Jeff, Cristina), Lola (Tony, Jennifer, Alicia, Emily, David), Ben (Yvonne, Devon), and Lidia (Emma, Cara, Ashley). She was a loving daughter to her late parents, Gina and Vincenzo Musca, and she carried their values and traditions forward with love.
Rosanna had a zest for life. She was smart, sassy, and full of charm, always keeping those around her entertained with her sharp wit, flirtatious spirit, and teasing sense of humour. She loved to sing, joke, and make sure everyone around her felt her presence. She had a daily tradition of enjoying a 4 PM espresso, a small pleasure that brought her great joy.
She was a beloved member of her community, forming strong and lasting friendships with her neighbours, whom she lovingly referred to as her "Knott’s Landing" family. She was always there to chat, share a laugh, and brighten someone’s day.
Rosanna received exceptional care from her medical teams throughout the years as she bravely battled various health conditions. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who looked after her, with special thanks to the compassionate medical team at The Civic Hospital, who provided her with outstanding care and comfort in her final days.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those who cherished her.
