Obituary of Robert Fortier

Robert “Bob” Fortier, a devoted father, brother and friend, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2025, at the age of 77.

 

Born on June 25, 1947, in Montreal, Bob lived with a passion for downhill and water skiing, playing guitar, driving cars, tinkering in his workshop and on his computer, cheering for the Ottawa Senators, and spending time with his son and wide circle of friends. As a long-time federal public servant and telework consultant, Bob held a keen interest in politics and technology.

 

Bob is survived by his son, Jeremy, and brother, Michel. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his humour, generosity, selflessness, work ethic, analytical mind and incredible organization. 

 

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bob's home for anyone who wishes to join in honouring Bob’s memory. Please reach out to Jeremy directly at jeremy.fortier@gmail.com for more information.
