Shaun Cox

December 25, 1957 - April 19, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Shaun Thomas Cox in his home at the age of 67. He is now reunited with family that he treasured immensely. Predeceased by his loving parents, Lorne (1974) & Rita Cox (nee Cullen, 2011) and his brother, Patrick (2021). He will be greatly missed by and dear brother to Colleen (Michael Allen), Lorraine (late Reginald Barr), Leo, and Debbie (Hugh Lindley). Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. In his early working life, Shaun worked for the National Defence as a courier and later worked for a moving company. Shaun was a quiet soul, lived humbly, and was always happy to be with family and friends and to share a good meal. He was an avid sportsman and an excellent baseball pitcher in his day. Shaun loved his walks, sitting outside by his favourite trees and enjoyed listening to music. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Maurice Parish, 4 Perry Street, Ottawa. Inurnment and a Reception to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery/Cole Funeral Service, 2500 Baseline Rd. Please join the family to celebrate Shaun’s life.
