Obituary of Peter Sean Capel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter S. Capel on May 29, 2020 in his 79th year. Son of the late Eric Capel and Gladys Smith (Capel). Brother of Antony Capel (Marjory Loveys). Beloved husband of Darla and loving father of Julie Belanger (Luc), Erica Roy (Neil), Brent Capel (Erin), and Blair Capel (Lori). Cherished grandfather of Andrew, Ethan, Emily, Adam and Cole. Great grandfather to Charley and Kennedy Belanger. Peter joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in September of 1960. He retired from the regular force in 1990 and joined the Reserve Force (763 Comm Regiment, Ottawa) where he remained until retirement in 1998. Peter worked for Honeywell Ltd. in Ottawa from 1990-2000 and for Appendix Publishing from 2000-2006. Peter enjoyed travelling and spending time with his friends golfing, and curling as an avid member of the Cumberland Curling Club. He enjoyed the camaraderie of the guys both on the greens and on the ice. His memory will live on forever in our hearts. “In life we loved him dearly, in death we love him still, and in our hearts he holds a special place that no one will ever fill”. Due to the current pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
