Obituary of Maurice "Moe" Lajeunesse

It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Maurice (Moe) Lajeunesse at the age of 85. Loving husband and best friend to Barb for over 58 years, proud dad to Michele and Jon (Steph), equally proud granddad (Boo) to Olivia, James and Jessica, and fur dad to Lacey. Moe will also be fondly remembered by his long-time and loyal friends.

Moe was an amazing athlete and hockey player, playing well in to his late 70s (despite battling Parkinson’s disease), and traveling the world for many senior’s hockey tournaments with Barb. In 2013, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame 80+ Builder’s category to honour his extensive volunteer work organizing local old timers’ hockey. Even after he hung his skates up, Moe continued to get the gang together for lunch (and a whole lotta laughs) at the Prescott.  It is our hope that he’s back on the rink with his buds and sharing many laughs.
