Aunt Lenore was a steadfast, loyal, and loving friend to my Mother (Jeannie) which, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you looked at it, left her wide open to a lifetime of the pranks and practical jokes of my Father (Gordie). And so my memories of her from when I was a child, teenager, and then adult, are filled with much laughter and spilled tea. She was a role model to me, especially driving her convertible and looking so beautiful!
I was blessed to often be invited to join Aunt Lenore, Aunt Mabel, and my Mother at various events at the NAC, most frequently plays. It was always very instructive, watching their interactions and appreciating the longevity of their relationship; it even afforded me a glimpse into their lives as high school students and then as young office workers.
I want to send my heartfelt condolences to Cousin Sheila and to all of Aunt Lenore's old friends, most of whom I met over the years. It has been eons since Sheila and I teamed up during her visits to Ottawa, and I would dearly love it if you would contact me, old friend, either via Facebook Messenger or email. I live in Sharbot Lake now, about an hour's drive southwest of Ottawa.
Goodbye, Aunt Lenore. May our good Lord hold you in His arms, always.
