Obituary of Marion Isabelle Wolfenden (nee Scurfield)

Passed away peacefully Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband Royle (2016). Loving and devoted mother of Bradley (Elizabeth), Glenn (Judy), Gail (predeceased 1987), Pamela (Otto), Robert (Monika). Grandmother to eight and Great Grandmother to eleven. Fondly remembered by friends and family. Deepest appreciation to the outstanding staff at the Perley Health Community of Care residence for their unwavering commitment of care and compassion. At Marion’s request there will be no visitation or memorial service. A celebration of life by her extended family will be scheduled. For those wishing, donations to the Perley Health Foundation will be greatly appreciated.

Marion was a soldier’s wife, homemaker, teacher, seamstress, but most of all a great Mom, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was a pillar of strength, she had a wicked sense of humour, and a heart as big as the great outdoors.

She was also known as: Min, Mom, Ma, Mommy, Moose, Grams, Gogo, G.G., Old Bat, Big B, and Auntie Marion. It was a privilege and an honour to know her. She will be missed by all who knew her. Love you, Mom.
