Obituary of John Douglas Bateman

After a courageous battle with Parkinson's. Beloved husband of Sharon (Sherry) for 56 years. Loved father of Jeff and the late Lee Bateman. Brother of the late Dr. Charles Bateman. Dear uncle of David Bateman, Jane Bateman and the late Robert Bateman. Also lovingly remembered by step-sister Ann White.

John was an elementary school teacher for 34 years during which time he taught at Greenbank and Knoxdale Public Schools before he retired.

Celebration of John's life will be held at Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road on Wednesday, July 27th at 1:00 P.M. Followed by a Reception in the Solarium. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of John to the Parkinson’s Foundation and Dementia Society.
