Obituary of Dorothy Anne Spence

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Dorothy Anne Spence on Thursday, September 1, 2022 in her 90th year at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. 

Dear sister of the late Roy (Joyce), and late George (late Lorraine). She is fondly remembered by her nephew, Ian; her nieces, Karen, Susan, Laurie, Sandra, Suzanne, Pamela, Andrea; and her cousins, Heather Anderson, Iva McCaig and Doris Spence. 

Dorothy enjoyed a long working career, was a voracious reader, and had many sunny holidays in the Caribbean with additional trips in North America and Europe. Her memories of travels and her love of reading sustained her when her mobility became restricted. 

Although she did not have her own children, she cherished her many nieces and nephews. Always  interested in their activities, education, and general well-being. Her love was felt and appreciated by all of her family. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September, 17, 2022 in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. Inurnment and reception to follow.
