Obituary of Maria Bianchini

Passed away suddenly on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Granite Ridge Care Community of natural causes at the age of 89.

Maria grew up in Galicia, Spain on a farm. She immigrated to Venezuela in 1952, where she got married and started a family. After the 1962 Venezuelan Revolts the family immigrated to Canada and she continued to raise the family.

Maria ran her own house cleaning service and afterward a cafe at Ottawa Airport. When she retired she helped raise her grandchildren. Maria is the daughter of Ramin Pereiro and Florinda Vazquez, sister of Celia and Carmen (deceased).

Widow of Pio Bianchini, mother of Assunta (Leandro), Rico (Sandra), Gabriel (deceased), Maddalena and Linda (Martin). Grandmother of Andrea (Daniela), Nida, Ross (Krista), Leah, Julia and Matteo. Great-grandmother of Sean, Atticus and Lauren.

Maria loved gardening, outdoor walks, reading, travelling, funny movies, music, dancing and being with her family.

Services will be private however condolences and shared memories can be made on the tribute wall.
