Obituary of Glenn Williams
Glenn Rodney Williams, 70 years, of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away on December 31st, 2022 at home with family.
Glenn was born in Montreal, Quebec to Victor R Williams and Edith M Williams (Lobb) on July 30, 1952. He graduated from Dunton High School then went on to earn a degree in Metallurgy from Metals Engineering Institute and Photography from Dawson Collage. Started work at Northern Telecom, Central Facting Corp and Dominion Bridge in Montreal. Transferring to Ottawa led him to contracts with the Federal Government eventually employed at CANMET for 27 years. He enjoyed conversation, travel, music, world events, developing technology and skiing. He is recognized as a gentle, compassionate and generous soul with intellectual wit.
Glenn leaves behind his wife, Jennifer Butterworth. Also survived by first wife Francine Cousineau including children Jessica Williams and Dean Williams with their children Zoey Williams, Sadie Williams and Sylas Williams. Additional survivors are stepchildren Christa Burnette, Julian Burnette, Stephanie Burnette and their children Andrew, Connor and Lacey. He is survived by his siblings Ken Williams, Roland and Linda (Legge) Williams, Wanda Muise (Williams) and Wayne Williams including nieces and nephews; Shannon, Leigh, Kristy, Glenda, Angela, Michael, Alex, and Marietis.
