Obituary of Jack Linchieh
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack Linchieh, beloved father, brother, uncle, friend, and husband. He escaped the Vietnam War in his youth and travelled the world, eventually settling in Canada to raise his family with his wife, Nu.
Jack had a passion for houseplants and pet birds, always finding joy in nurturing the life around him. He lived a life of simple pleasures, enjoying good food and the company of his friends and family. Jack was also a prominent member of the Chinese community in Edmonton, known for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humour.
In his retirement, he returned to Vietnam to live out his remaining days surrounded by the beauty and culture that had shaped his youth.
Jack will be remembered as a kind and loving father to his three children, Alex, Nadia, and Lilliana. His legacy will live on through the memories he created with his family and the beauty captured in his photographs. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those he touched throughout his life.
