Obituary of Felipa Angelica Malandra Garcia
Felipa “Angelica” Malandra Garcia
Peacefully, while surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 13th, 2023, our beloved Angelica passed away at the age of 52 years after her 20 year long battle with cancer.
Angelica was born on August 22nd,1970 in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco Mexico. At the age of 16 years old fate brought Giuliano and Angelica together. Angelica was working at the Hotel Flamingo when Giuliano first laid eyes on her. True love at first sight. After a short time of writing long distance letters to each other, they both knew that this love was forever, bringing her home to Canada to start their journey together.
Angelica was the greatest Wife, Mother, and Nana that anyone could ask for, despite any obstacles that she had faced in her life. A kind spirited soul who filled her world with beautiful harmony. She was a master gardener, who so dearly loved creating beautiful gardens with all her flowers and plants. A passionate cook who expressed her culture and love on every plate. Above all, Angelica always kept her family, and friends close to her heart.
Loving wife to Giuliano Malandra. Daughter of the late Cipriano García, and Maria Vargas. Predeceased by her in-laws Amedeo and Concetta Malandra. Cherished loving mother of Alisha Nicoló (Francesco), Marcello and Julian Malandra. Adored Nana to Amedeo Nicoló. Loving sister to Alfredo García Vargas (Marina), Agueda García Vargas (Jose De Jesus), Alfonso García Vargas (Maria Elena), Rosa Margarita García Vargas (late Porfirio), Livier García Vargas (late Jose de Jesus), Cecilia García Vargas, Jose Luis García Vargas (Ma.Dolores), Maria Elena García Vargas (Efrain), Maria de la Luz García Vargas (Jose Marcos), Maria Obdulia García Vargas, Lilia Elizabeth García Vargas. Dear sister-in-law to Maria Mann (Steve), Manuela Notarandrea (Marco) and Marcella Dinardo (Angelo). Tia/Zia to numerous nieces, nephews (late Alfonsito and Lesly Arely) and their children. Lastly her little chihuahua, her companion Gucci.
The family wishes to thank the many Doctors, Nurses and PSWs for their care over the years.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Angelica’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Friends, and family are invited to visit at the Pinecrest Remembrance Services.
Forever in our hearts, until we meet again.
