Obituary of Joan McGibbon

Born in Inverness, Scotland, Joan was taken to her heavenly home and into the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on 21 April 2023.

Beloved wife of 49 years to Gregor, loving mother of Murray (Sandi) and grandmother of Ethan. Joan succumbed to abdominal cancer at the Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital in Ottawa.  She was pre-deceased by her four sisters: May, Sheena, Betty and Ina.

Joan came to faith in God and the Lord Jesus Christ in 1985.  Her Christian faith and testimony was strong, and she worshipped and served her Lord and served her brothers and sisters in Christ faithfully at Bridlewood Bible Chapel in Kanata, ON and at Good News Bible Chapel in Calgary, AB.

Joan’s funeral will be held at Highland Park Cemetery, 2037 McGee Side Rd, Carp, ON. on 26 April 2023 at 2:00 pm. beginning with the Graveside Service, all are welcome. A Reception with refreshments will follow at  2:20 pm. Memorial and Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to MSC Canada for services to missionaries.
