Obituary of Rita Marguerite Parent (Banville)

Peacefully on April 12th, surrounded by love, Rita passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer.  Predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Gilbert. Also predeceased by her Brothers & Sisters; Eva, Henry (Chummy), Helen, Mona, Edgar, Gerard and Anna. Survived by her Son Steven (Mary) and Sisters Theresa and Diane. As well, her many nieces & nephews.  Much thanks and gratitude to her health care Team including oncologists, palliative care and Maycourt Hospice. A special thank you to Diane, Lesley and the rest of the family who were there for Rita in her final days. A Celebration of Life will take place at Pinecrest Cemetery on Wednesday, May 10th, beginning at 1pm. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rita’s honour, to a charity of your choice.
