Obituary of Irene Foley

Irene passed suddenly at home on Sunda,y July 16, 2023, at the age of 76. Beloved and devoted wife to Richard "Dick" Foley. Loving mother to Judy, Russell, and Ryan. Special and caring Nannie to her grandchildren Presley, Cooper, and Carter. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Carp Irene is the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Muldoon. Sister to Anne (Bob Williams), Margaret (Denis Clement), Willie (Cindy), Audrey (Ken Reid)

Irene served on the Queensway Carleton Hospital board where she created the "STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES" fundraiser. Irene crafted thousands of silk roses for this event that were planted in the main level of Bayshore shopping center to transform it into a beautiful sea of flowers. This dedication was instrumental in the purchase of a mammogram machine for the QCH. Irene also sat on the Committee of adjustment for the City of Kanata and helped with the growth of the community .A loving mother raising her family in South March, worked as a Real Estate Broker, and later in life Irene started the Perfect Pillow Company. Irene's kind heart and desire to help everyone will be missed by all. As per Irene's wishes there will be no service. Donations in memory of Irene can be made to the Alzheimers Society.
