Obituary of Caroline Neate

We are sharing with you the sad news that our Mom, Caroline (Tucker) Neate, passed away November 14th 2023 at the age of 89 at Bridlewood Trails, Ottawa. She was predeceased by Bud, her husband of 65 years in May 2019.

Mom leaves behind to mourn her loss, daughter Linda (Al) St. Pierre grandson Greg (Liz) their little guy Jaxson and grandson Steve. Also left to mourn is her son Dave (Karen) Neate and granddaughter Kelsey. All of us will cherish our precious memories of our Mom, Nanny and G-Nan. She’ll be missed by all of us and thought about, along with Dad, every day.

Mom has left behind several special family members as well as her incredible friend Dolores Wood (late Bob). The bond those two couples shared - legendary.

She loved and cared for us, enjoyed sewing, crochet and knitting but, most of all, spending time with Bud, their daily travels to CBC Ottawa on Lanark Avenue, annual trips back home to Halifax, and to warm winters in Florida.

Caroline’s wish was to be cremated with no visitation or funeral. Her ashes will be placed in the niche she and Dad selected in Perth at the Elmwood Cemetery. She will rest next to him together as they were always meant to be.

We are grateful to the staff at Bridlewood Trails, who were so good with Mom during her stay there.
