Obituary of Helen Dow

Helen Dow, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 81 on Friday, December 22nd. Born on May 6, 1942, Helen grew up in Schumacher, Ontario and later moved to Ottawa. She was a dedicated stay-at-home mom for many years but eventually returned to work at the Canada Revenue Agency. After she retired, Helen generously took care of her granddaughter Kalina while her parents were at work. Helen affectionately called Kalina her “Petunia” and Kalina share a special bond with her “Nanny.” Helen was predeceased by her parents, Susan and Alexander Kayzer, infant brother Joseph, and brother Alex. She is survived by her husband Dick, daughter Christina (Dave Singh), son Rick, granddaughter Kalina Singh, sister Eileen Cochrane (Archie Chornobey) of South Porcupine, sister-in-law Sylvia Kayzer, nephew Michael Kayzer and niece Suzanne Kruppa (Steve) of Thunder Bay, and step-daughter Patti Dow (Richard Godin).
