Obituary of Margaret Davison

DAVISON, Margaret

November 1927 - April 2024

Margaret Davison, née Veitch, passed away at the General Hospital in Ottawa, in the early hours of April 30th, 2024, with the courage and strength she showed all her life.

Margaret was an only child. Beloved wife of late Wilfred "Bill" Davison, she was the loving mother of Peter Howard and loving mother-in-law of Louise, née Vaillancourt. She will be fondly remembered and terribly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, by her nephews and nieces, their spouses and their children, and by many good friends and neighbours. Her passing leaves a big void in our lives, but we are very lucky to have had her with us for a long time, to have loved her and have been loved by her.

Margaret and Bill came to Canada from England in 1955, with their two year old son. Margaret worked at Ottawa Hydro for over 30 years. She dedicated her life to her family and to her work. She also proudly did volunteer work for the Humane Society and for the Gloucester Presbyterian Church, including the yearly church bazaar.

Special thanks go to the friendly staff and residents of the Alta Vista Manor, for their care and their support.

Cremation has taken place and, as was her wish, there will be no memorial service. A quiet family gathering and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
