Obituary of Bogdan Kowalski

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bogdan Kowalski wishes to announce his peaceful passing, on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Ottawa General Hospital, at the age of 70. His unexpected passing comes as a shock to his family, friends and loved ones. He lived a vibrant life and celebrated each day as a blessing. 

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Ewa (née Albrecht) and his loving son Jason, daughter-in-law Jodie (Ford),  grandchildren Adam and Izabella who he cherished with all his heart.  Bogdan was predeceased by his parents Stan and Genia Kowalski. He leaves behind his brothers Richard, Roman, John and sisters Wanda (nephew Lukas), Diana and Suzan. He will be dearly missed by his mother-in-law Zofia, brother-in-law Krys, sister-in-law Iwona, niece Natalia, and nephew Kuba.  

He will be lovingly remembered by friends and the many people whose lives he touched. A traditional Funeral Mass to celebrate Bogdan’s life will be held at Saint Hyacinth Roman Catholic Polish Church (201 Lebreton Steet N, Ottawa) on Thursday, July 4th at 11am with burial following at the Pinecrest Cemetery.
