Obituary of Violet Ethel Douglas

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Violet Ethel Douglas. "Vi" (nee Price).

Born in Craigmont Ontario to mother Alvina Price (nee Miller) and father Carl Price. Beloved wife to William Edward Douglas (predeceased 2015). Loving Mother to 5 children Rosemarie, Bill, Karen, Bryan and Paul (predeceased). Grandma to (Karen and Tim) Vanessa and Joel (Marie-Eve), (Bill and Judy) Jesse and Leah. Great Grandma to Haelan, Saoirse, Noah and Lucia. Vi came from a family of 5 sisters Jean (predeceased), Gladys, Marion, Mabel, Mae and 1 brother Milton (predeceased).

Vi grew up on a farm in Combermere Ontario. She left home at age 15 to work at Murray’s Restaurant in Ottawa. She dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed sewing matching outfits for her kids and embroidery. She worked at The Bay for many years. Starting in Calgary until her retirement from The Bay in Ottawa.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2024 @ 2:00 pm. Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa
