Dear Shawn ,Mark, Melissa and family,
We were so saddened to hear of Alice's passing. Alice was a true, sincere and lifelong friend. She was one of a kind , generous ,outgoing ,giving and interested in folks in general. We never missed a laugh or a good reminisce as we continued to be in touch even after all these years since we moved to Calgary. I had a plan to meet as we returned to Ottawa this Spring but she left us the day we arrived.! It was our intention to be with you on Friday but unfortunately catching some flu bug is not going to allow that to happen this week!!Our sincere regrets on that note Shawn and Mark. Alice had place at W E Gowling and was an exceptional primary teacher . That primary hall was always a happy place and the noon hour bridge games with Bev, Joannie ,Alice and myself I will never forget. They taught me to play bridge for which I am forever thankful. Alice was also a good cook
and I do remember her mint Nanaimo bars so well ! As a consequence I ate too many one night and lived to pay the price.!!!!
Shawn and Mark she lived for you boys to be the best you could ever be and you have made her proud . Take a bow. She also
wanted the best for her grandchildren and was so proud of them.
Alice lived to be active and independent helping her sisters and others . She was one of a kind I will miss her for our chats although not so often it was like yesterday at Gowling when we spoke . Alice- Rest In Peace faithful servant . You lived and served others and the community well. Manford and I extend our sincere sympathy to all
Sincerely ,
Manford and Ina Colbran (Calgary now)

Shawn, Mark, Melissa & family,
I was truly saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. My memories of your Mother rotate around visits that your parents made to our farm and Church services at Christ Church Ashton. I always admired your Mother's style and grace. She was a very classic and elegant lady. May your hearts cherish fond memories of your Mom and know that she has been reunited with your Dad in Heaven. May she rest in eternal peace.
Hugs
Patsy Hobbs Lowry
