Obituary of Alice E. Saunders

It is with great sadness that the family of Alice Saunders announce her passing on Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was a devoted wife of the late Sam Saunders. Alice was the daughter of the late Alex and Leeta Levi, Holbein of Arnprior. She was the proud mother of Shawn and Mark (Melissa) as well she adored one grandson, Shane, and one granddaughter, Saige.

Alice was a teacher by profession always having taught grade one at W. E. Gowling School. She was considered one of the best grade one teachers’ with the Ottawa Board of Education.

Alice was an avid gardener. She was a very active person in attending exercise classes and walking many miles in one day.

Friends are invited to visit at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, on Saturday, April 13 from 10am until the time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11am, with a reception to follow.
